The 16th century Protestant Reformation-- Is it dead or alive, past or still present with us today? Is it still relevant? The subject is getting mixed reviews today. On the approach of the 500th year anniversary (thought by most to have begun with Martin Luther on October 31, 1517 in Germany) a new energy is beginning to spring up on the question of whether the Reformation is over.

Very interesting and serious things are happening in our world today at a rapid pace. Politics surprise us, warmongering alarms us, and there is the general feeling intensity is taking hold of world affairs. But there is comfort in what the Bible has to say about our global future. And this dialogue on the Reformation will help us keep balance in an ever-changing political, religious, and cultural landscape. Biblical principles are still the best guiding light for our future.

One Christian writer has said, "The Reformation did not, as many suppose, end with Luther. It is to be continued to the close of this world's history."--The Great Controvery, p. 148.
